Raleigh Bikes is one of the longest standing bike brands in the world. Raleigh was established in 1890 by Sir Frank Bowden in the city of Nottingham.
The name Raleigh acquires from the street name Raleigh Street as this is where Mr Bowden first went about his business. Although the company was formed in 1890 Mr Bowden did show initial interest in the bicycle industry in 1887.
The functionality of every bike is important at Raleigh, it must be "fit for purpose" and reliable. To achieve this, high quality materials and components are used throughout.
