Viking bikes was established in Wolverhampton 1908. The Viking brand has a very impressive history and a reputation for top quality road bikes. Over the years some of England's famous road racers chose to ride with the Viking team. When Viking set about designing a bike they always work to the same belief that is to produce a bike with. quality, style and durability.
Today Viking bikes still work to the same core qualities but have extended their range including a popular hybrid range like the Viking Pimlico. They have increased their range to suit the ever increasing demands of changing lifestyles.
The Viking Pimlico has been built using Vikings trekking hybrid frame. The tubing is lightweight heat treated aluminium and has been designed to suit most riders requirements, both male and female. Whether you need a bike for your daily commute to work, your ride in the countryside or even some trail riding the Pimlico has all the attributes.
Viking has stuck to its design criteria and complimented the Pimlico with all the quality components.
The frame is finished off with a set of straight bladed high tensile steel forks allowing you to turn the bike on a sixpence.
Like many of the Viking models transmission is solely Shimano, 21 speed push button STI gear shifters with Shimano front and rear derailleurs, a seven speed Shimano freewheel and a Shimano triple chainset with lightweight alloy crank arms. This set-up will give you a gear for any terrain, super easy for steep hills and rough ground or super fast for track and road.
When it comes down to stopping the Pimlico is equipped with, front and rear alloy V type brakes with Shimano adjustable reach alloy levers giving its rider complete control over the stopping distance whatever the riding conditions.
The Pimlico is adaptable too, frame and forks have mudguard clearance with fitting bosses. Luggage won't be a problem either as fitting points are provided for a rear pannier.
