Viking bikes was established in Wolverhampton 1908. The Viking brand has a very impressive history and a reputation for top quality road bikes. Over the years some of England's famous road racers chose to ride with the Viking team. When Viking set about designing a bike they always work to the same belief that is to produce a bike with. quality, style and durability.
Today Viking bikes still work to the same core qualities but have extended their range including a popular Trekking range like the Viking Portobello. They have increased their range to suit the ever increasing demands of changing lifestyles.
The Viking Portobello has been built using a solid Viking trekking hi-tensile steel hybrid frame. The frame is complimented with a set of straight bladed high tensile steel forks making the steering on the Viking Portobello simple.
The Portobello is set to suit anything from a quick commute to canal paths and trail riding.
Gear transmission is solely Shimano including 21 speed with Shimano EZ Fire Shifters, Shimano Front and Rear Derailleurs, KMC Chain and a Shimano 14-28 Tooth Freewheel. This set-up will gives you a system for all road types, super easy for steep hills and rough ground or super fast for track and road.
When it comes down to stopping the Portobello has front and rear alloy V type brakes with Shimano adjustable reach alloy levers offer predictable stopping power in all conditions.
The Portobello is adaptable too, frame and forks have mudguard clearance with fitting bosses.
