Raleigh was originally established in Nottingham in the year of 1887. Raleigh has a brand now has a vast amount of bikes within the port-folio covering all types of style and design.
Incredibly it only took Raleigh six years to become the biggest bicycle manufacturing company in the world. The company was spread over seven and a half acres in Faraday Road, Lenton, Nottingham. Today, Raleigh product development engineers and graphic designers ensure that the innovation continues and every Raleigh bike has a special level of quality and attention to detail. The functionality of every bike is important at Raleigh, it must be "fit for purpose" and reliable. To achieve this, high quality materials and components are used throughout.
The designers at Raleigh see the 2017 Helion 3.0 as the star of the Helion line-up. Because of this it has been built using the best of components and features.
The Helion 3.0 is built around the same lightweight super strong aluminium frame as the Helion 1.0 and 2.0.
One of the noticeable differences on the Helion 3.0 is the frame sits on lighter alloy Suntour M-3030 suspension forks with 60mm of plush travel. These quality forks will take away all the vibrations the road and terrain my throw at its rider. In fact they will seem as they are not there.
Raleigh have decided to design the Helion 3.0 with the Shimano TX800 24 speed gearing system. Although still great for the roads the large amount of gears will make any challenging easier to tackle. Furthermore the more ratios will allow you can attempt more challenging terrain. Gear selection is razor sharp and smooth with the Shimano EF51 push button shifters.
The Helion 3.0 is also equipped with the quality Tektro mechanically actuated disc brakes giving its rider confidence to stop on the rough stuff too. The disc hubs are also quick release so you can pop the wheels off for storage or the back of the car.
Additional Information - Dual compound handlebar grips, Raleigh ergonomic saddle and 660mm wide lo-rise bars combine to produce a comfortable ride wherever you want to venture.
